EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE

We have conducted an exhaustive research throughout the academic papers published by the best universities in the world, collecting some interesting pieces of evidence about the topic.

SOCIAL EXPERIMENTS

We carried out 2 different social experiments to test some hypothesis. The first one consisted in presenting a product showing confidence and no confidence, comparing results. The second was a class test to verify if confidence has a impact on academic performance.

Self-confidence is 50% genetic but you can improve the other 50%. Education is a fundamental part, but here we give some tips in order to work on your self confidence when you are already an adult.

TIPS

Self-Confidence is a concept that is really important in the practice of law. In this context, we identified 3 key moments in a lawyer's profession in which confidence can make the difference.

HOW TO DEVELOP

SELF-CONFIDENCE

It is a very general concept related to others such as self-esteem or self-concept. What I mean by self-concept is that you have really clear what are your personal characteristics, both the positive and the negative ones. Therefore, in this context, self-confidence means having faith is these characteristics and attributes you have.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
 SELF-CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM

It is clear that they are two very similar concepts, but the truth is that there is a subtle distinction. Self-esteem implies accepting you own characteristics that you have identified thanks to the auto-concept. In other words, accepting how you are, both in you negative and positive aspects. Some people misunderstand self-esteem with being arrogant or conceited, but having self-esteem does not mean that you like all your characteristics, that you think you are the best at everything. On the contrary, you may like some aspects of your personality, but you may dislike others. With the last ones you may try to improve them, or maybe you just leave them like that because you assume that they are already part of your personality. From this point is where self-confidence is generated, which is having faith in these attributes you have not only identified, but also accepted.
